A quinceañera, an essential part of a Hispanic female’s evolution, is a celebration of her passage from girlhood to womanhood. It is one of the oldest birthday traditions in Latin America, a past combination of the Mayan cosmovision and Christian beliefs.

During colonization, those ancient traditions from the native peoples combined with Christian beliefs. Eventually, a mass was added to the celebration, and it became a formal event to present the quinceañera into society. Presently, the birthday is a celebration of life, and a spectacular way to celebrate their feminism, their life, and their new opportunities for a different lifestyle.
